What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file your browser stores when you visit a site. Cookies let the site recognise you on the next visit so you don't have to sign in repeatedly, and let it remember preferences like language and display currency.

The cookies Folio sets

The marketing site sets a Laravel session cookie used for CSRF protection on form submissions and to remember consent state. The web app stores its authentication token in browser local storage, not in a cookie. We do not currently set advertising cookies.

Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly analytics (server-side hits, no cross-site tracking) to understand traffic patterns. No personal data is shared with third parties for advertising.

Managing cookies

You can delete cookies from Folio at any time via your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out of the web dashboard and reset display preferences. Functionality of the site is not otherwise affected.

This document is a placeholder skeleton for the Folio platform. Before launch, replace it with content reviewed by counsel in the operating jurisdiction. Nothing here constitutes legal advice.
